Alisa Teletović

Alisa Teletović, born in Banja Luka in 1974 and raised in Mostar, discovered abstraction at age 11 and held her first solo exhibition at 15. Following the outbreak of war, she moved to Austria and later emigrated to Australia in 1994. Over 17 years there, she built her reputation as an independent artist, exhibiting widely and graduating from RMIT University in Melbourne with a degree in Fine Arts and an Advanced Diploma in Electronic Design and Interactive Media.

Her diverse cultural journey shapes her abstract expressionist practice, which explores themes of identity, belonging, spirituality, and healing. Teletović has presented over 40 solo exhibitions and joined more than 100 group shows across Europe, the Middle East, and Australia. In 2024, she became the first artist from Bosnia and Herzegovina to exhibit at the Council of Europe in Strasbourg.

She has twice represented Bosnia and Herzegovina as Ambassador of Art in Dubai and currently champions the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through art in Sarajevo. Founder of the Association for Art and Culture BEA, she also serves on the Supervisory Board of ULUBIH. Deeply engaged in art therapy, her “Self-Portrait of the Soul” workshops help participants process emotions and embrace healing through creativity.
