Clipse Teean

Clipse Teean (Mbolatiana Lalaniaina Raoilison) is a street artist. She expresses herself through graffiti, while maintaining a close relationship with the visual arts and design. After studying Urban
Planning at the University of Antananarivo from 2001 to 2006, she became a self-taught graffiti artist and explored the artistic possibilities of this medium. Clipse Teean enjoys the cha lenges of her practice and is interested in fields closely or loosely related to her activities: sewing, welding, and even carpentry.

Clipse Teean was immediately drawn to the concept of “Rock, Paper, Scissors” at the beginning of her career. The concept combines the raw and spontaneous aspects of street art with the diversity of materials. It also involves the finesse and complexity of Kirie (a Japanese cutting technique) and the exploits of Echograffiti, a personal technique.
