Daniella Eole

Daniella is an Art and Design Educator (B.Ed. Hons in Visual Arts) and a registered Mauritian Visual Artist renowned for her distinctive finger-painting technique. Rejecting conventional brushes, she uses her fingers as natural instruments, transforming them into powerful channels of creative energy. Through this unique process, she connects mind, body, and spirit, achieving a mindful state where colour becomes a language of emotion and texture, a reflection of presence.

Her vibrant compositions stand out for their bold, expressive colours, generously applied in rich, textured layers created entirely by hand. Daniella also integrates collage elements—fabrics, papers, and recycled materials—seamlessly into her works, creating dynamic, multi-dimensional pieces that fuse tactile materials with painted surfaces.

Daniella’s artworks are deeply connected to her personal story of resilience and inner power. Each piece serves as a testament to her journey, translating lived experiences into a celebration of strength, freedom, and healing. Inspired by Van Gogh’s words, “Instead of trying to reproduce exactly what I have before my eyes, I use colour more arbitrarily, in order to express myself,” her art transcends mere representation, offering an immersive journey into colour, texture, and the senses—a true reflection of courage and creativity through the profound connection between hands, heart, and soul.
