SDG 13 : Climate Action

I believe art has the power to change the world. Everyone is powerful and talented; we just need to learn how to express ourselves. My name is Guzel, and I’m a professional artist from Russia and an Art teacher at Qatar Academy Wakra. Art is my air, my life, and my passion. From a young age, I have loved painting and teaching others to paint. I am Russian-Tatar and have lived in many places, adapting to different cultures and communities. Born in Russia and raised in Kyrgyzstan until age 10,

I experienced the upheaval of moving back to Russia after the USSR collapsed. Since then, I have lived in 60-70 different homes, which fueled my passion for Gulf countries. Through my art, I aim to inspire hope, love, and connection. I studied Art and Design at the Ufa Academy of Technology and Design and have exhibited my work in various locations, including Ufa, Kazan, Moscow, the Caribbean, Abu Dhabi, Cyprus, and Qatar. In 2018, I joined the Russian Artists Union and have been active in charity auctions, supporting causes like donations to Palestine, and teaching the importance of using art to contribute positively to society.
