SDG 11 : Sustainable Cities and Communities

Tahira Fida is a visual artist and writer from Muscat with an MA in Visual Arts from the UK. She has actively participated in numerous workshops alongside Omani and European artists, enriching her creative practice through cross-cultural exchange. Tahira’s work has been showcased in prominent national exhibitions at OSFA, Bait Muzna Gallery, Sara Gallery, and the Ministry of Culture.

Internationally, she has exhibited in Algeria, Greece, Georgia, and the Affordable Art Fair at the Louvre Museum, Paris. Her accolades include the Ministry of Culture’s First Prize (2005) and the Alma’ara Award of Excellence (2018). She has held three solo exhibitions in Muscat and Copenhagen and participated in collaborative shows in Kuala Lumpur.

A researcher and languages lecturer, Tahira is fascinated by human communication through visible and invisible symbols. Her series Spiritual Symphony reflects this inquiry, as she crafts her own symbolic language to share stories and emotions with her audience.
