SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production

Natalija Salihovic holds a Master of Art with Honours (Gold Medal) from the Department of Painting, Academy of Fine Arts, Sarajevo (2011-2016). She is a Professor of Painting and Drawing at this university and a member of the Artists’ Union of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Artists’ Union Napredak in Croatia, and the Vienna Arts Society in the USA. Salihovic has participated in numerous exhibitions and art conferences, with her artworks featured in private collections across Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Ukraine, Russia, Belgium, France, and the USA. Her art explores the complex interaction between humanity and the environment, emphasizing the beauty of nature, the urgency of environmental conservation, social justice, and the interconnectedness of life.

Using traditional and contemporary methods, including recycled materials and natural pigments, she highlights resourcefulness and innovation in addressing global challenges. Salihovic believes art transcends boundaries, provokes thought, and inspires action, engaging viewers in dialogues about protecting the planet and promoting justice.
