SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production

Venugopal V.G., a multidisciplinary visual artist and art educator from Valakkunja, Kasaragod, Kerala, is currently based in Bangalore. He holds a BFA from CAVA, University of Mysore, and an MFA from CIAS, Chitrakala Parishath, Bangalore. Over two decades, Venugopal has held four solo shows and participated in numerous exhibitions and curated projects across India and internationally. His work has featured at Lalit Kala Akademi, Bharath Bhavan Biennale, The Americas Biennial, Kyoto International Woodprint Association, Magmart Video Art Festival, and Guanlan International Print Biennial, among others.

Venugopal’s practice spans printmaking, painting, video art, and installations. He has attended artist residencies, including at Theertha International Artists Collective, Sri Lanka, and earned multiple recognitions such as the KK Hebbar Gold Medal, National Lalit Kala Akademi Scholarship, H.K. Kejriwal Award, and Prafulla Dahanukar Art Foundation National Award. His work continually explores contemporary narratives through layered, experimental forms and mediums.
