SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production

I am deeply inspired by the forms, colours, and textures of nature I experienced in Kuwait’s desert and sea. Early memories of exploring tidal pools, observing migratory birds, and watching the desert bloom with daisies, irises, and Arfaj left an indelible mark on me.

Over the past forty years, urbanization, overgrazing, and waste have threatened this fragile beauty. As an artist, I address these concerns by reusing found papers, recycling them into collaged watercolours to highlight issues of consumer waste and single-use plastics. My practice continues to evolve through education, workshops, and travel, nurturing
both my creativity and advocacy.
