Lutfiyah Nanhuck is a contemporary oil painter born and raised in Mauritius. She graduated from the University of Mauritius in 2018 with a Bachelor of Laws, though her passion for painting began in her late teenage years. Due to Nanhuck spending her childhood on a lush island, she takes great inspiration from nature and her surroundings. Her works are a burst of harmonious colours and life, depicting her fascination with adjusting environments due to climate change. As a skilled painter, the visual saturation and buildup of paint are effortlessly achieved with Nanhuck’s seamless yet vibrant application of oil paints. She aims to create with the intention of raising awareness of a global predicament with her blurry dreamlike landscapes, allowing her viewers to envision what our world could be if we took action to save our planet.
