SDG 14: Life Below Water

Pragya Jain, a New Delhi native, completed her schooling at Modern School before earning a Distinction in Arts from India’s former President, Dr. Abdul Kalam, in 2001. She ranked seventh in the competitive entrance exam for the Delhi School of Arts and graduated with a BFA in 2005. Pragya debuted her first public exhibition in New Delhi shortly after. She then spent six years in the United States, showcasing her work in New York, Amherst, Boston, and cities across Connecticut. Now based in Bangalore for over a decade, her 2009 solo show at Sublime Galleria was a complete sell-out. In 2018, she co-founded Artychoke, an eco-conscious homeware brand featuring her designs. Pragya’s art reflects her fascination with the human experience, expressed through vivid colours, geometric precision, and recurring motifs like horses, birds, and ballerinas. Her layered compositions aim to evoke positivity, balance, and structure — mirroring the rhythms of everyday life.
