SDG 2 : Zero Hunger

Ashwini Hegde’s lifelong passion for art began in childhood and has shaped her creative journey ever since. A graduate in Painting from Karnataka Chitrakala Parishat, Bangalore, she is also the co-founder of Cobalt Art Space, a hub for nurturing contemporary art practices in the city. Deeply influenced by both visual art and music, Ashwini finds a natural connection between sound and imagery in evoking atmosphere and emotion.

Specializing in watercolor nightscapes, she captures the delicate interplay of light and shadow, using the medium’s translucent qualities to create serene, dreamlike scenes. Her works often distill complex forms into expressive, abstract compositions, reflecting influences from classical to modern art, photography, and popular media. Ashwini has exhibited at notable platforms such as the Indian Art Festival (2023–2025), the Kochi Biennale Collateral (2017), and the Mysore Dasara Exhibition (2013), continuously inviting audiences into her contemplative, ethereal visions of the night.
