SDG 5: Gender Equality

Merima Ivkovic was born in 1983 in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. She graduated in Biology and Chemistry from the University Dzemal Bijedic in Mostar in 2006. In 2012, she earned her Master’s degree in Painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo, under Prof. Sead Music. Currently, she is pursuing a doctorate at the Faculty of Philosophy and Religious Sciences at the University of Zagreb.

Merima has actively participated in numerous art projects and exhibitions, both collective and solo. She also works as an associate for the Museum of Herzegovina. As a prominent freelance artist, she is supported by the Canton Sarajevo Ministry of Culture and Sports. She lives and works in Sarajevo and Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and has participated in various art colonies and symposiums.
