SDG 9 : Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure

Hailing from a family of goldsmiths in Mangalore, I began my creative journey as a planner and illustrator with a leading architect in Bangalore. Specializing in perspective drawings and design layouts, this early architectural experience profoundly shaped my artistic sensibilities. Transitioning into a full-time painter, I pursued both my BFA and MFA in Visual Arts, refining my craft while participating in several group exhibitions focused on cityscapes.

My paintings capture the layered, dynamic essence of the modern metropolis — its towering structures, contradictions, and fleeting moods. I explore how cities both embrace and unsettle us, reflecting memories, dreams, and unseen narratives within their streets. Through lines, textures, and color, I express the city’s pulse and the human stories it holds.

For over two decades, I’ve exhibited across India and internationally, earning accolades including the Camel Art Foundation South Zonal Award (2021) and the Lalit Kala Academy Karnataka Award (2008).
